“Together, we can bake this world a better place.”
Friends & Family Bake is a small Filipino bakery on Fan Tan Alley, along Pandora Avenue in downtown Victoria — steps from Chinatown. Every bun is baked fresh in-house, and part of every purchase goes toward the Zoe Children’s Home Foundation, supporting children in the Philippines who can’t afford school supplies. What started as one small shop is now, three years on, a neighbourhood fixture with 531 five-star reviews and a line out the door for cheese pandesal.

What Victoria says

I LOVE THEIR BUNS. Super soft and not too sweet and heavy. Staffs are so nice and helpful with recommending their pastry
Four of the 531 reviews on the shop’s Google listing, which sits at a 5.0 average.

Bicho-bicho, fresh from the oven
A twisted donut rolled in sugar, out of the fryer and onto the plate — the snack the team posted about this week.

What's on the shelves today
The team posted their run of freshly baked goods — seven breads and rolls, straight from the oven. Here is that list, with what the shelf cards say about each one.

Thank you for three years
After the shop's third anniversary — and a difficult week with their Google listing — the team wrote to the neighbourhood that turned up for them.
